Eight by twelve on Sprucehead Island, squeezed underneath an existing deck. The roof had to be hinged during construction — it was the only way to work in that tight space between roof line and deck. Four feet of changing room sits in front of the heat.
The floor came first: granite, exposed, already anchored in place. Everything else had to work around that stone. Not the straightforward build, but the granite is what holds this room. Through double pane insulated windows — water and trees. Thermo Aspen benches for four to six.
